Tributaries and Sub-river



Sub-river of Padma: Mahananda.

Padma tributaries: Madhumati, Arial Khan, Bhairab, Mathabhanga, Kumar, Kopotaksh, Shibsa, Pashur, Baral, Gorai, Ichhamati, Nabganga, Kaliganga, Chitra, Tentulia, Bishkhali, Kirtankhola, Kaukhali, Agunmukho.

Sub-rivers of Brahmaputra: Teesta, Dharla.

Branch rivers of Brahmaputra: Jamuna, Banshi, Shitalakshya.

Sub-rivers of Jamuna: Karatoya, Atrai, Bengali, Kaljani, Dorsa, Jamuneshwari, Dudhkumar, Ganga, Tulsi, Jaldhaka, Nasab, Chapchapia, Bayadhaka, Dhala, Ghaghat, Baral, Dhal, Narad, Baranai, Shiva.

Old Brahmaputra + Meghna = Bhairab Bazar

Teesta + Brahmaputra = Chilmari of Kurigram

Jamuna + Padma = Daulatdia Kushtia in Rajbari district

Padma + Meghna = Chandpur

Halda + Karnafuli = Kalurghat, Chittagong

Bengali + Jamuna = Bogra

Rupsha + Bhairab = Khulna

Coastal Bay of Bangladesh - Bay of Bengal

Part of the Indian Ocean is special - the Bay of Bengal

Boundaries of the Bay of Bengal - Bangladesh and India to the north, India and Sri Lanka to the west, Indian Ocean to the south and Myanmar and Andaman and Nicobar Islands to the east.

South of the Bay of Bengal is the island of Sumatra in Indonesia

Separates Bay of Bengal from Andaman Sea - Andaman-Nicobar Islands

The Bay of Bengal is located on the southern coast of Bangladesh .
